Huangshan, Xidi and Qiandao Lake
This route shows China in a more scenic and slower way: Huangshan as a mountain landscape, Xidi as an old village with grown architecture and Qiandao Lake as a water landscape.
The first block is Huangshan: entrance gate, cableway, mist, stone steps, pine trees, pavilions and Tunxi Old Street. The photos show this mix of mountain scenery and regional everyday life.

Huangshan in photos
Huangshan is not just a single viewpoint. The experience starts at the entrance and continues through waiting areas, cableways, steps, mist, rock formations and pine trees into the old town of Huangshan / Tunxi.

Xidi in photos
Xidi is the quieter counterpart to the mountains: old lanes, grey walls, water channels, red lanterns, tea, small shops and views over the village and fields.

Qiandao Lake in photos
Qiandao Lake, also known as Thousand Island Lake, is the calm water section of this route: islands, excursion boats, lakeside paths, forest, small bridges and wide views over the water.

Paths, views, weather and landscape give the route weight. Mist and clouds are part of the atmosphere here.
Old architecture, lanes, water channels and regional character. The second photo group shows Xidi as a village, not just as a sight.
A strong contrast to mountains and villages: water, islands, excursion boats, lakeside paths and quiet bays.
